Raphanus sativus L., var. Radicula

Radish belongs to the family Brassicaceae. It has predominantly foreign pollination (insects). Radish grows very quickly in the beginning, whereas the development from the beginning of flowering to maturation is quite slow. Plant height at maturation approx. 1.30 m. Radish is sensitive to frost during the emergence period. Radish can cross with the weed plant kiddike = (Raphanus raphanistrum) that has pale yellow flowers. It does not cross with charlock mustard, field turnip or other cabbage species. The crop blooms from late June to early August.
