Cornflower

Centaurea cyanus

Cornflower is an annual or bi-annual outdoor plant, suitable for flowerbeds, borders and cutting. It is available in several colors, such as pale blue, dark blue, white, pink, brown, purple and colored colors. Cornflower belongs to the family Compositae. The plants grow 60-100 cm high. Cornflower has foreign pollination (insects) and self-pollination. The species can intersect. The seed is light yellow / brown, 1.5 mm in diameter, cylindrical shaped 4-6 mm long with approx. 1.5 mm short hair on one end of the seed. Cornflower blooms in the period June-September.
