The second and following years are the blooming period. In case of a good establishment, a part of the plants should have been in bloom during the year of sowing. The area may lie to seedlings approx. 3-5 years. Skorzonera prefers well-drained and well-sprinkled sand-mulch or clay-mulch with high water capacity and good lime content. Placement near fallow field and natural ground is not recommended.
