Parsley

Petroselinum crispum

Parsley belongs to the umbelliferae family. Parsley is a biennial and is preferably placed in pure bed, but can also be sown as cover crop in spring barley or peas. Parsley grows best on well-drained sand-mulch or good clay-mulch with reaction rate of at least 6.5. Parsley has poor competitiveness against weeds in the spring and autumn, i.e. that clean fields for seedlings must be used.
